The Wisconsin Advocates for Music Education is made up of educators, parents, business people and other community members who believe that all children deserve a balanced education that includes the study of music and the other arts. WAME’s goal is to educate communities about the inherent benefits of music education.
MIT researchers identify a neural population highly selective for music.
Attend the Advocacy Drive-In Day on Wednesday, February 7, kicking off at the Madison Concourse Hotel (1 W. Dayton St., Madison) at 9 a.m. The WI DPI submitted Wisconsin’s ESSA implementation plan to the U.S. Dept. of Education in September. WMEA plans to coordinate with the legislature to ensure that a quality music education continues to be available to all Wisconsin students. Share WMEA ‘Asks’ with your state legislators. Training will occur that morning before walking to the Capitol together.
